Absolutely love this holiday park. We have been 3 times now. This time was for our honeymoon. Was just what we needed. Highly recommend.
We couldnt recommend this place enough. We came on the recommendation of a friend for a weekend in the camping pods and had the best time (regardless of the rainy weather). The staff were super friendly and very helpful in providing us information on all their activities on site and around the local area. The facilities were faultless and the views stunning. We will definitely be returning next year. Many thanks for a lovely stay.
EDIT** Don't bother going if your your looking for a long term seasonal pitch, we placed our tourer here a year ago and on paying our ground rent we asked if there was any plans to stop tourers using the site. We where told categorically that this was not happening. Now we have been there a year we have been told that they are stopping tourers using the site and it will be statics and lodges only. If we wanted to stay we had to spend 30000 on an affordable caravan or we had two more seasons before we had to get off the site. We are now woken at 7:30-8:00am every morning with the sound of diggers and workmen. This spoils the relaxing atmosphere of the site and makes it not worth the money. If your looking for a lodge then you'll still be OK as the sounds of the work won't affect you. Original review**A relaxing stay in a well maintained, beautiful place with professional, friendly staff. There is lots of wildlife including swans, ducks, coots, grebes, morehens, stoats, rabbits, running around the site. There is a lake to fish or canoe/windsurf and sale on as well as a pitch and out. All in close proximity to a local shop and pub that serves good food (Dacre Arms).
Fabulous place. Clean tidy and friendly. Would highly recommend for couples, families - very animal friendly. Just got back and can't wait to go again and take the rest of my family.
