From the moment we entered we were made welcome such lovely friendly staff.13 of us sat down for a meal and the only complaint was they were stuffed. you have to wait while your pies are baked but well worth the wait they are Huge.i ordered a pudding silly me I couldn't eat it all not used to large portions. If you don't go you are missing out
Brilliant pub with really friendly staff and the pies are absolutely superb and the choices are unreal , such a selection. Will come again and sample a few more pies.

Fantastic pies that are well worth the wait. Friendly and welcoming. Only on holiday for a week near there but will definitely be going back.
One of North Yorkshire gems, so don't be put off by its looks, we nearly were and would have regretted it. The hosts were so welcoming and we felt a great ease with our two young grandchildren. The food was absolutely delicious, the best gammon I have tasted, and the range of freshly made pies was unbelievably. Would thoroughly recommend and we will be returning next time we are in the area.
