I have been visiting this fish and chip shop for decades, and it's as good as it ever has been. The fish are always cooked perfectly, with a lovely crispy batter, amd the chips are excellent. Portion sizes are generous, and everything is reasonably priced.The staff are great, and I have never had a bad experience. The only downside is that they don't accept card payments, but there's a post office up the road where you can withdraw cash.
Good size portions. Lovely cod and battered sausages. Would highly recommend!
Staying at a caravan park in Barmston and called here for tea. Really enjoyed the fish and chips, fresh cooked and not greasy. The staff were also very nice.
Called by on the off chance and was pleasantly surprised by this hidden little gem.We had to wait about 15minutes as they cook everything fresh. Was well worth the wait.The fish were huge and the batter light and airy,the fish was so white and soft.The chips were made beautifully with a nice potato.The staff were fantastic and friendly,even made me a coffee which they don't have on the menu,but they'd just put the kettle on for one themselves.Really fairly priced for such good quality.Will definitely call by again and recommend.
